Understanding what really happened at the Cross.
Three in one: ~Body, soul and spirit = one person. ~Matter, space, and time = one universe ~Appetizer, main course, dessert = one meal ~The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit = one God.
Seeing is believing: ~We can not see the Coronavirus, yet, its impact has made it clear that it does exist. ~We can not see Radio Waves, still, satellites, computer networks and radio, make it pretty obvious that it is there. ~We can not see Air/Oxygen, though amazingly up to now it is responsible for keeping us alive. ~We can not see, God almighty, creator of heaven and earth, who is before all things, created every thing and holds it all together, nevertheless, no other explanation makes sense to everything there is that exists.
All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. [John 1:3]
The greatest need for every man, woman, or child today is to have a fresh stream of the Holy Spirit from our living God pouring into us. This incredible gift will fill us with the strength we need, so that we can be confident in the uniqueness of who He has created us to be. We have all been given special skills and abilities to serve God and proclaim His love to the world. Gifts of love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness wisdom, knowledge, healing, discernment, organizational skills, communicational skills, miracles all work in agreement with God’s principles and guide us in accomplishing His plans for our lives. As my 3rd grade class and I gathered on Zoom, l always love to hear what they have to say. Out of the mouths of babes, here is my students understanding of what happened at the Cross
An observant generation taking notice:
*“I learned from God’s love that He’s done so many wonderful things for us, because of His love”
*“When I see the cross I think of love and joy”
*“If you believe in God you can go on so many amazing adventures and He could help you so much.” *“He gave up His life for us so we wouldn’t have to suffer through death.”
*“If you love God, He will love you back and help you”
*“He will help you”
From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise. [Matthew 21:16]
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
The first step in understand what happened at the Cross is to Humble ourselves and seek forgiveness. Life is a gift that has been given to us, what we do with it matters. Spending time with God allows us to recognize that our weakness is just a steeping stone to becoming all that we were created to be. That is if we ask God to intercede in those shortcomings. And if we do, we can be sure that the seeds of potential within us will never be wasted.
*What Scripture teaches us about God, Creator of heaven and earth:
As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. [Matthew 3:16-17]
If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you. [John 14:15-31]
*Understanding what really happened at the Cross:
For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. [John 3:16]
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. [Jeremiah 29:11]
A teacher is not so much responsible for what our students know, but more so for the seeds we plant to help them grow.
Let us ask the Father in the Name of Jesus, by the power and grace of the Holy Spirit, for a fresh stream of living water to pour into us and like a river flow from within us.
Until soon ~ Many blessings,
